Serena Jameka Williams is one of the world-famous William sisters and tennis wizards. She is currently ranked no: 1 Women’s single Tennis. She achieved the title of World number one for the first time on July 8, 2002. She is also regarded as the greatest female tennis players by the former tennis players and is the only woman who has earned over 60 million dollars in prize money and is the reigning queen of Australian Open, US open, WTA tour championship and Olympics ladies single. She got the nick name of Queen of the Court by the media. Serena was born to Richard Williams and Oracene Price and was the youngest girl in the Price daughters. She has three half-sisters and one full sister, Venus. Her father supported them all the way and home schooled them and coached his daughters in the nuances of Tennis when the Williams sisters showed their interest in the game. Her forehand shots are considered to be one of the most powerful shots in the women’s game. She is also known for her mental toughness due to which she can pull herself together even in difficult situations. During the years, 1999 and 2001, Serena reached the coveted top ten player list. She won her first professional singles title when she defeated Amelie Mauresmo in the final of the Open Gaz de France. Just after a month, she won her first Tier 1 singles title at the Evert Cup. She is also the recent player to have held all four grand slam singles titles simultaneously during the 2002-2003.
